Finally had my little angel on my original due date of Valentine's Day! I got very sick and naseous the day before so bad that we went to the hospital thinking it was early labor and instead they gave me a shot to stop the sickness and sent me back home. The next morning at 5AM I started having contractions and my DH started timing them for me. They were 6 minutes apart for a little while and then 15 minutes apart and were sparatic. DH had me start walking laps around the house to speed things up lol. Around 4PM that afternoon, we headed to the hospital & they admitted me. Had to wait to get fluids to get my epidural and in the mean time was given some fentynil to "take the edge off". I didn't want to use drugs (except for the epidural) originally in my birth plan but at that point I was open to anything!!! After that and the epidural things were going pretty well. My mom flew in from Dallas and made it to the hospital soon after I got there and lots of family came and made the labor time fly by. My dr. came and checked me around 7PM and I was only 5cm dilated. But when she came back at 11:30PM to check she was shocked to see that I was fully 10 cm dilated!!! By the time she suited up, I was ready to push. I pushed 4 times and our little angel was here! Delivery only took me 10 minutes!!! We have a little Valentine baby now. :) at 11:56 PM. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 6 1/2 oz., 21 inches long and had lots and lots of hair. He got a 9 out of 10 on the apgar score so we were thrilled our little one is happy and healthy. After all of the months carrying him and labor pains, everything was totally worth it. My DH is being such a good daddy and I'm loving being a new mommy.
