14-9-2008 - angry!!!

My mood while writing this blog:
angry

i am sooo pissed off! so trying to enjoy my pregnancy and trying to get excited about moving (1st october) but majorly stressed out! My 14 year old daughter (the one with ADHD) has run away from home again! at the end of my tether now! happens monthly! but i normally know where she is, this time i have had no contact since 11pm last night so this morning i have had to contact the police!!!! grrr, all because she 14 and thinks she should be allowed out til 11pm! I DONT THINK SO GIRLIE!!! was supposed to be home at 8 pm last night as she was already grounded for calling her sis awful names, and swearing, which i wont tolerate! and had got herself a detention, so she had a choice, she could go out during the day until 8pm, or go to the party until 10 (but not do both) when she would get picked up! plenty late enough i think, considering she 14 and vulnerable, impressionable etc! ADHD is a terrible thing to live with, not just for jodie, but for my other chld and myself and bubba, so there i was last wandering streets 6 months pregnant with 12 year old daughter, with jodie refusing to take my calls! despite 9 texts during the day begging to go out and being told, she had made her choice, accept it! how dare she! grrr. all bcause she is a spoilt brat who wants her own way!!! and if she doesnt get it! il do what i like anyways! not under my roof she wont! hardest job in the world being a parent, more so doing it alone! absolutely exhausted and hoping the police will bring her back soon, she wont learn, thats the trouble with kids with adhd! il be back here next month, stressing myself out! tried everything believe me, and such a strong woman, but really have had a gutful now!

Ok rant over and sorry just needed to sound off!!

Hey hun, sorry to hear that things aren't easy at home with your eldest.
can't imagine what it's like living with someone who has ADHD but i can certainly imagine what it's like living with a teenage girl, may have been 12 years ago for me but i can vividly remember the crap i put my mum through.. i was a problem child from the age of 11, had serious issues going on in my head, which resulted in me going into a residential school for 2 years as i had a tendancy to run away quite a lot.
My problem was change, my parents were getting divorced and it was messy for all.
Jodie will feel like a young adult now and she's going to want to be treated like one, even though you both know deep down she's still just a child. Also knowing that in 3 months time, there's going to be a brand new baby in the family, she's quite possibly reminding you that she's still there and she doesn't want to feel pushed out, as most, if not all your time will be focused on Tahlia.
Teenage girls are the worst, they're terrible for attention seeking. You've just got to try and stay calm, for you and Tahlia's sake as well as your 9 year old who's also going to be upset.
She'll be home before you know it. xxxx
