31-12-2008 - update

My mood while writing this blog: bored waiting...

having had a really restless night last night with contractions, i woke every 20 mins... drove me mad, got up and had backache, decided to keep myself busy.... hoovered, mopped, general housework etc, to try and get bubba motivated.

rang midwife around 3.30 ish to see if she could come out and assess my progress, backache has me shaking, and period pains, contractions coming and going, but not regular. midwife took blood pressure-ok, listened to baby's heartbeat etc all good, did internal, 1cm bloody dialated. grrr, so she stretched, apparently im constipated too, so had 2 cups of coffee, apparently if can go to toilet, it will help push things along....and coffee normally helps me.

midwife says i could deliver tonight, early hours of morning if lucky? so fed up waiting, its driving me mad, mum on way back to mine, been staying for last 10 days, she's gone into town to get me birthing ball, and more big knickers lol for after birth.

Really hoping tahlia will arrive tonight/tomorrow, having lots of pains, but none so bad i can't bear, although do have a high pain threshold, apparently third+ babies can niggle for days, and can have a really fast labour.... yes please lol.

hoping the next blog i write is to say tahlia is here..... thinking of all you women due to give birth/or overdue. good luck and all the best. x x
