About Your Pregnancy
Is this your first pregnancy?: Yes and no. Had a miscarriage with the first one.
When did you find out you were pregnant?: May 1st, 2008
Was it planned?: Oh no, not at all. Quite a surprise actually.
What was your first reaction?: I believe I silently screamed the f-word over and over again.
Who was with you when you found out?: I was alone
Who was the first person you told?: My best friend Karen
How did your parents react?: My Dad wasn't exactly happy since I'm kind of young and his little girl, he is completely happy now of course though. My Mom is thrilled by anything and everything... Michael's parents were thrilled.
How far along are you?: At this moment 22.6 weeks
What was your first symptom?: Cramps but no bleeding and really tender breasts
What is your due date?: Jan 3rd, 2009
Do you know the sex of the baby?: Sure do!
If so, what is it?: It's a little baby girl!!!
Have you picked out names?: Yes... A lot of them actually...
If so, what are they?: As of right now we have it down to Wendy Kate or Heidi Kate, though subject to change haha
How much weight have you gained?: As of my last OB/GYN appointment on August 21st I had gained 11.5lbs
Do you have stretch marks?: I've always had tiny thin stretchs marks on my hips, but let's hope I don't get any more! If so, then oh well, nothing I can do about it.
Have you felt the baby move?: Oh yeah, she's my tiny dancer. Likes to make my stomach look like a water bed.
Have you heard the heartbeat?: Yes, at every doctor's appointment now and she is 145bpm at every appointment. She is consistent =D
About the birth
Will you keep the baby?: Absolutely! :)
Home or hospital birth?: Hospital
Natural or medicated birth?: Medicated most likely. May try to see how long I can go without the meds.
Who will be in the delivery room with you?: Michael only!
Will you breastfeed?: I am going to if the lactation specialist says I'm good to go.
Do you think you'll need a c-section?: Not sure honestly. My hips may not spread enough. Or knowing my luck I'll sit in labor for the 72 hours and they will finally just make me have a c-section.
Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time?: Oh yeah! Happy tears of course!
What's the first thing you might say to him/her?: Absolutely no idea whatsoever! =D
Would you let someone videotape the birth?: Yes but from my point of view, like at my head. I don't need that area being seen on video tape! ..."This is my doctor and the nurses and all the instruments, and that's my vagina, and OH LOOK there is me waving at the camera... or wait, nevermind, I'm flicking you off."
Are you excited about the birth, or scared?: Excited more than scared, though the closer it gets the more scared I will get most likely.
