31-5-2011 - 8th month

My mood while writing this blog:
SWOLLEN

32 weeks, 5 days/ 7.5 months/ 229 days pregnant with 51 days to go. WHEW! After a long memorial day week and weekend of working nonstop on my feet, swelling has officially taken over my legs and feet. I don't have cankles, I have thighkles! I had my appointment today. I started off weighing 125 and today I weigh 169 GASP. We had a 3 hour appointment. The doctor told me my outragious swelling is normal and that there is very little I can do about it but, complain. My last appointment I mentioned my last high risk pregnancy and said I didn't feel as though they were watching me closely enough and they agreed! So, we got our ultrasound today. The baby is SO cute and looks exactly like Todd. He is breech with his back on my left side, his bottom under my belly button and his head under my chest. He has chubby little cheeks and his little feet were touching his forehead. They estimated his weight at 3 pounds 11 ounces. (my first was born 36 weeks at 3 pounds 5 ounces) They said he is right on target size wise. His heart looked good, bladder was working, brain looks good. He has a big pocket of fluid to move around in to. They gave me a 30 minute nonstress test and said the results were as expected. They are going to start seeing me twice a week until delivery AND they schedualed another ultrasound! It is so nice having a "normal" appointment and I don't take that for granted. We still don't have a name yet but, we've narrowed it down. We still haven't painted the nursery but, it's prepped and ready. I'm hoping this is the weekend for it. I don't have much to complain about except the swelling. It is MISERABLE! My skin is so stretched it's shiny. Fred Flintstone's feet have nothing on me. We are just so happy to be having happy normal appointments.

So glad your appointment went well.I seldom saw any "normal"appointments with my last son.I delivered him where you are now.He sure is a rambunctious little guy now.I gave up having a normal pregnancy,especially since I have no uterus any more.So happy for you and your family.Here's to another 2 months.Yabba dabba doo Ha Ha . ; )

Only 8 weeks longer :) I think of all of you often that were in my same week. My due date was 7/23 :( Still trying and nothing yet! Best of luck in your remaining weeks!!!!
