Went to my 1st prenatal visit yesterday. Doc laughed and said "Back so soon?" Did usual lab work and so on. Saw the babies little blinking heartbeat. My Dr doesnt take note of the rate at this early of an age. He said baby looks fine and corresponds wth the dates. My due date is Feb 26, as thought all along.

He did however find a 5cm cyst on my left ovary. he said it is a functional cyst, fluid filled, and not cancerous or anything of serious concern. Im still freaking out though. Stupidly I got on the internet and looked it up. Naturally I found the horror stories,lol. Cysts that rupture and twist on themselves, or twist the ovary, infection, leaking, etc. Yeah...I probably should have quit while I was ahead.

So I go back in August, in 6 weeks, unless something happens beforehand. He wants to do another u/s and check the cyst. I wish I could go back at 8 weeks and then 10 weeks. Only because I am still leary about losing another baby somewhere between now and then, like before., without any notice. I had an u/s at 10 weeks and they said there was no heartbeat, the baby stopped developing at 8 weeks. So every pregnancy since, that is always in the back of my mind. I pray that the heartbeat I see before 6 weeks will remain a strong beating heartbeat. Thats all we can do though, right?........ is pray:-)
