03-7-2009 - Excellent Smoothie Recipe Procrastinating on HomeworkMy mood while writing this blog:
Procrastinating on Homework

I found this smoothie recipe in my What to Expect When You're Expecting book out of the pregnancy diet section. It is delicious and (in my personal opinion) good for you! I've made a few minor adjustments that I think make it even better.

1 cup Vanilla Yogurt (I like Danon and Yoplait, Yoplait makes the smoothie a little thicker)
1/2 cup Orange Juice with Calcium
1/2 Cups Frozen Mangos (I've also substitute peaches and pineapple here before, but mangos are the best!)
1/2 Frozen Banana (Frozen makes the smoothie thicker! I usually just peel bananas, cut them in half, and stick em' in zip lock bags)
5-8 large Frozen Strawberries (Depends on how much strawberry I feel like)

If it's not quite sweet enough for you, try adding a little bit of honey and then blend again!

I love this smoothie and it's one that I can drink even when nothing else sounds good or I feel sick. I highly recommend it! I haven't tried this yet, but you could try adding protein powder or something like that also!

If any of you try it, let me know what you think!
