15-6-2009 - Joys of pregnancy flabergastedMy mood while writing this blog:
flabergasted

So overall I've been feeling pretty well so far this pregnancy - that is until this weekend when I got a huge reminder of why I didn't think I wanted to be pregnant yet. I'm sure than anyone with a toddler can more than understand this blog.

It was a normal Saturday morning when it was suddenly time for a diaper change - you know the kind where you could probably smell it 3 houses away...So I take DD upstairs to change her (keep in mind diaper changing is like a full blown wrestling match these days) I get her shorts off and undo her diaper when suddenly it hits me - the smell is overpowering every ounce of strength I have not to throw up. I concede - luckily finding her diaper trash can before completely loosing my breakfast. So I yell for DH and he comes up to find DD's hands in her own poop - at which time he yells at me for "letting her do it". I then proceed to loose it on him basically telling him how completely inconsiderate he's being and crying to the point where I told him he has to change every stinky diaper the rest of my pregnancy. And while he agreed to it to pull me back off the ledge, I shortly there after remembered that he travels for work 60% of the time and this just wasn't going to happen. But if nothing else it got me out of diaper duty the rest of the weekend. LOL
