| 29-10-2009 - Another Seizure | My mood while writing this blog:Recovering |
So my biggest fear happened AGAIN! Yesterday at work I got the call from daycare to come quick because they had to call an ambulance. I got to daycare in 4 minutes and already there was an ambulance, 2 medics and 6 cops there. Insane! Turns out he had another seizure. His temperature shot up out of nowhere. His teacher said she was giving him lunch (he ate everything) and she went to wash his face and he just through himself back and started seizing. By the time I got there he was passed out surrounded by like 4 or 5 emergency workers. Sooooo scary! He had one at 7 months and I gotta say, as common as they are it does NOT GET ANY EASIER!!! We spent the whole day in the ER being monitored although they didnt run as many tests as they did the first time. They also said even though they are common, if he keeps getting them then he will have to have some neural exams to make sure there is nothing more. They gave him Motrin to get his temperature down and he slept for a solid 2 1/2 hours as they monitored him. When he woke up, already he seemed to be back to his normal self! He was playing and walking around and babbling and everything. It is sooo hard being a parent and loving someone so much...
Sure enough, just like last time as soon as his fever broke it seems to be gone for good. He is home with my husband now "recovering" but he is back to his normal self.
