| 23-6-2009 - Holy crap - He's a crawler |
My mood while writing this blog: Ok |
He got in just under the wire. The day before he turned 9 months, Wyatt took his first official crawl. Trouble trouble trouble! He started getting up on his hands and his knees just randomly one day and rocked back and forth for awhile. Then he was stuck in reverse mode for a couple of days. Finally, 2 weeks to the day after he started rocking, he finally went forward. And hasn't stopped since. We baby proofed the house in a day. Well... so we thought. We always have to look 3 feet ahead of that kid because as soon as you see him moving, you can just assume he is heading for something that is not a toy. Surprise surprise. Cat toys are his personal favorite because no matter how many times we pick them up, they always somehow manage to make it back to the middle of the floor (Casey!). His favorite thing to do is sit on the kitchen floor, grab the handle of the lower cabinets and just open the door as far as it goes with the baby proof latch and slam it shut. He thinks thats the funniest thing EVER. Shoes are a personal favorite of his too, so we are trying to break all of our habits of leaving things around. Man... people weren't kidding when they said enjoy them at the age before they can walk! Its funny how all the cliche sayings of people with kids really are true! He's not as interested in toys as he was because there are so much cooler things to explore! We are still in an adjustment stage, but I already miss the days of sitting still hahaha.

Tuesday, 30 Jun Hehe. Oh, you and I are kindred spirits... both scientists STILL blown away by these amazing little beings! Auggie just started pulling up onto stuff, so we can no longer keep stashes of "junk" on the coffee table. And I had no idea how much change fell out of Shawn's pockets until I started picturing it caught in Auggie's windpipe! He must think I'm such a nag...!!! branmichelle1981 -
Tuesday, 23 Jun Oh I know the feeling! I remember not being able to wait for Masen to crawl so maybe he could be a lil more independent....well the day comes and now I can barely keep up! He is in the dogs food, chasing dogs pulling tails and ears, trying to knock over our fake tree, our flowers, grabbing photo albums or candles off the lower end of the end tables. He's insane and is everywhere!!!! And they have no way of understanding what "NO" means. Good luck I think we are going to need it!
