04-5-2009 - Appt 5/4/09

My mood while writing this blog:
Hurting

Nothing too exciting to report. I'm still 2 cm, as I have been for about 3 weeks now. My doctor stripped my membranes. That was truly painful and uncomfortable. I only gained 1/2 lb so that's good.

The only bad thing is that my BP is much higher than it usually is. Last week it was 110/70; today it was 138/72. I'm stressed out of my mind, and have a killer headache, so I'm not surprised. I'm actually overjoyed that I'm still pregnant, because looking forward to Kaydence's birth is my biggest stress reliever.

I won't be on too much now, because I have a lot to deal with, and very little time to sit in front of a computer. Congrats to everyone having their babies, and good luck to those TTC.

I should have read your blog first... gosh hun' I am leaving you tons of labor dust!!! I had my membranes stripped with my little girl (my first born) and oh man do I know what you mean by painful/uncomfy... ugh! Anyway I know right, the excitment of your baby's impending birth is the absolute best thought of the day! But so much to look forward once she is here... even the sleepless nights :)

My BP was a little high at my last pre-natal appointment too. They scheduled a non-stress test for the following week, but I gave birth before I could take the test! Any day now...

Are you sure you're not getting pre-enclampsia? I know some signs are high BP and headaches...my Dr saw I had some signs of pre-e (I had swelling of hands and feet and lots of protein in my urine) and he had me induced.

I'm sorry to hear that you are going thru a lot right now...I know its tough, especially being a single parent...I had my daughter when I was 20 and very much single...when all else fails...give it over to God...He can change it all around...He did it for me...I pray that He gives you peace.
