| 22-6-2009 - Checking in! | My mood while writing this blog:Silly |
Hey ladies!
It feels like forever since I've been on here. Sometimes I'm able to sneak on for a moment, but I finally have time to read and reply to blogs, and update all of you.
Being a mom gets better and better everyday! Kaydence is now smiling and laughing a lot. She also sounds like she's saying hi sometimes, but I'm sure it's just random noises. lol! She will be 6 weeks this Wednesday! I can't believe it. Time is surely flying. At her last checkup (4 weeks) she was 9lbs 15 oz. My baby is getting so chunky. They don't measure length, but when I checked at home she was 21 inches.
She's getting her shots at 8 weeks. I'm so nervous. I don't like to see her cry, so this is really bothering me. I'm going to suck it up and relax before then so she doesn't pick up on my stress.
Kaydence's sleep schedule is backwards. She likes to sleep all day, and stay up all night. I try to keep her awake during the day, but it doesn't work. Any tips????
Breastfeeding is still going smoothly. I had a little scare last week. I went out for the first time, and pumped a bottle for Kaydence. Out of both breasts I was only able to get 3 oz total!!! That was shocking. The only other time I had pumped was the day after my milk came in, and I got 5 oz out of each breast so I wasn't expecting that. Luckily, I was only gone 3 hours, and my mom said she wasn't too interested in eating anyway so it was fine. After that day, I started feeding her more often and pumping more to encourage an increase in my supply. It probably wasn't necessary since she never seems hungry anyway, but oh well. I know it's working though because I wake up engourged every morning. That's a bit annoying...
As for me, things are wonderful. My PP bleeding ended this past Saturday, so that's wonderful. Actually, I'm a bit confused about that. I think my PP bleeding ended after 2 weeks, then I started my period. At 2 weeks I started cramping again like I did during periods pre-pregnancy. Either way, it's done now, thank God!
My PP appt is on Wednesday, and I'm excited to see how much I weigh now. I was 150 when I delivered, and 128.6 when I got pregnant. I was 129.5 two weeks PP, and that was exciting! LOL!
Well, I have more stuff to do while Kaydence naps, but I hope to catch up with you all soon. Congrats to everyone having their baby/babies, and good luck to everyone TTC.
