03-9-2009 - DH Seizure Update 9/3/09

My DH Rob had his 3rd seizure on the 1st of September. Unfortunlately, this was the 1st seizure that I've had to witness, I saw him immediately after his second one, they call it postdictal I think. Either way, neither stage is a fun thing to witness. He's doing better. He broke 2 vertebrae in his back during the seizure in June, so he was still a little sore from that one. This last one, he was in his recliner in the living room, so I think it was a little gentler on his back. I hope so anyways. They started him on some anti-seizure meds so hopefully they can start to prevent these awful things from happening to him. He's home, really tired, and in a lot of pain, but he's here with me. I was so stressed out that I had an attack of angioedema on the 2nd at about 3am that caused me to go to the ER myself. They started me on steroids to stop the swelling, so I'm fine now too. We are going to put a halt to TTC for the rest of this month. If I'm already pregnant ( I can't tell for 11 more days), then great, but if not, we can always try again when he's feeling better.
