18-9-2008 - IVE HAD MY BABY GIRL

IVE HAD MY BABY GIRL.... i had an appt at the hospital and they said i had to be induced on the 1st sept i went in to be induced at 8.30am they inserted a tablet at 9.30am by 2pm i started having pains by 10pm i was examined and was 1cm i was settled down with pethidine to sleep as they said i wouldnt be ready until the morning as i tried to sleep my waters broke at 11.20pm tht was when the pain really kicked in i was examined and was 3cm i was moved to a delivery room i had some gas and air i was sleeping inbetween contractions but they were really painful my baby was getting a bit distressed i had to be monitored and restricted movement i had another shot of pethindine i was 10cm by 2.30am i dilated very quickly within 2.5 hours i was pushing for 1hr 20 mins then baby grace was born at 3.51am weighing 6lb15oz and 51cm long she was perfect and not a wrinkle on her. i did need stitches but 2 weeks on i feel fine its amazing how quick your body repairs its self after having a child. and i love being a mum.
