So yesterday was prolly my worst day. I wasnt in a good mood since AF is here and all. So on top of it hubby decides to get on my nerves!! I am just so irritated with him lately. The kids were pretty good though. I am just so mad that he works these 2 jobs. He told me when he was starting the 2nd one that it would only be 2 or 3 days a wk and prolly the weekends which was fone, but hes doing this job 5 or 6 days a week leaving sunday our only day to hang out. So I think I have a right to be upset with this and he doesnt see it. He just always throws up the excuse we need the money or he just wants to experience. Well when does the family fit into your schedule huh?? He leaves at 9am and doesnt get home till 1030pm..

Anyway enough of that caus eI could go on forever lol, but on another note. My daughter has been diagnosed with ADD. We have known a long time she has had it and just really didnt want her on medication so finally yesterday I got the script filled (vyvanse) and tried it out yesterday so I could see how she did on it. Her grades have been slipping so bad and her focasing in school has been horrible for a long time, I was just hoping with time she would get better and it only seems to get worse so.....time to try out the medication.

So her 1st day on it was ok. The only side effects so far we see are lack of appetite and lack of sleep, some 'zombi' characteristics, dry mouth and when the medication starts to wear off she moves her jaw back and fourth and doesnt seem to know shes doing it. So I was hessitant on giving them to her today before school but I said to myself that was only day one, I wrote the teacher a note about everything and am having her write me back to see if she sees a change and if so then I think we will keep trying it if those side effects go away, but if not then im going to stop it.

I have researched this medication all over the place and the doc gave me info on it. I seem to see it works better for adults than children, but have seen good ratings for the children. So it was just a touch and go situation for me. But no real bad side effects, just what the doc told me was most likely the lack of appetite and sleep which should wear off after the 1st day. So im hoping. She was focased more, but at times I found her sitting there just looking around so I dont know really..

I just hope this all helps. I didnt want her on the meds, but something else has to be done. She gets all the help she can in school and at home and isnt improving. She is the type of girl who will look you dead in the eyes when you talk, but ask her what you are saying and she has no clue!
