13-5-2008 - Finally, some end is in sight

My mood while writing this blog: ok...eye is on the prize!

I'm still 80-90% effaced, 3ish CM, 0 station. Cervix midpoint (neither posterior nor interior). They moved my due date up from 5/10 to today (decided to go by LMP rather than my known conception date of this past Saturday). My doc said that 90% of women will go into labor sometime within a time frame of 4 days before or 4 days after their due date. She expects me to go into labor by the end of the weekend, but if not, I will be induced Monday, possibly Tuesday. I'll know that schedule soon. I will check in, get 4 hours of ABX for GBS (boooooring), then have my waters broken and pitocin started. I actually feel better knowing there is a known end to this. Monday is 5/20. My bd is 5/27... I didn't want our bd's so close together but oh well. One day off sched. and the babe will be a crazy Gemini woman like me.

Also, the doc laughed at me when I told her I still have my mucous plug. She said, 'you don't! Do you think you could be 3cm and still have one? You can stop looking now!' lol! She said I shouldn't expect any show either. I guess I lost mine in the toilet, probably in the middle of the night in the dark! Labor vibes to you all!!!! Still hoping for natural labor but not counting on it. Meanwhile I've TONS and tons of pressure now and lower back pain. Maybe the exam stirred something up.
