4/3/08 - Thursday of my first week back to work and I have a cold. Crap!
Well it's been interesting and a learning experience for all of us. Eric gets up and takes Ty to daycare and I pick him up. I get up to feed the little guy at 5am and then get ready for work. So far this is working ok. Eric is at his sleep deprivation limit though, so we are going to try to start clustering Ty's evening feedings tonight to see if we can get an extra hour of sleep out of him. Fingers crossed!
As for daycare, so far we aren't impressed. They send home a sheet everyday telling us when he slept, ate, pooped, etc. The first couple days it looked like he was only awake to eat. That shouldn't be the case at all and he wasn't taking his bottles well. Or the real issue is that they weren't working with him to get him to take the bottle... Eric has said some things to then when he drops him off in the morning and things are starting to improve we think. All we have to go by is what they write on the sheet, so it could be the exact same but they are writing it down to fool us. Who knows. I wish I felt better about it than I do right now. I'm looking into other options, but there don't seem to be many choices.
On the upside, Ty is smiling and laughing with us when we play with him. He is much more calm and happy now than he was when we brought him home. He's really doing great! Sweet little boy!
