i am currently 4cm and standing with the loss of some mucus plug. on the 9th i felt something going on went the hospital they admitted me it was about 6p.m and i was o.k they said i was 3 to 4cm and then they told me they would not give me anything to help the labor along until the morning around 6am so my doc could be there. well i was famished and all i could have was ice chips so they start they start the potocin at 6am my doc asks why they didnt do it earlier ......he checks my cervix he has short and very fat fingers that hurt very very very much. and he said i was only 2-3 cm but he couldn't really reach the baby was still far up ......he was upset that they even admitted me but then another doc came in female with smaller fingers and checked me much more gently might i add and said i was 4cm and still a little thick. soooo they decide around 8p.m i have a choice of being taken off all the stuff to eat and shower and walk around for about an hour to see if it helps improve anything and well..... i felt great after that then my doc calls and wants to know what i would like to do if i wanted to try again at 6am with the potocin or go home ...... i went for an hour walk hooked back up to the baby monitor and found got my cervix checked still 4cm but with bloody show and im still loosing more of my mucus plug but i am now at home . i feel some contractions but not too bad....... i am so worried because i dont really feel the contractions and i have a high tolerence for pain that i wont make it to the hospital in time for the antibotics i am strep b postotive this is this first preganncy that i have had it and im nervous about it. so we will see how it goes ladies..........oh and thank GOD for my mother she helps me sooo much DH is great to just everyone was dissapointed that we would not be meeting our lil guy it felt wrong walking away from the hospital after all them hours .
