Tuesday, 8 Sep Well good ol NHS we dont get any nappies or sani pads supplied, we have to bring our own in... we even have to bring in a margarine tub for topping and tailing the baby lol well I had too whe I had the kids...not so sure now lol....Sam ask ur midwife about a hospital list...every hospital is different...I know I have to take a towel in...only said shampoo as and stuff just incase you have to stay in longer than atticipated xx mamabear13 -
Monday, 7 Sep ask for pad they put on exam table for you to sit on in the car so as not to mess your car seat, hospital socks are the comfiest! I have like 4 pair from when I had my son :) I just kept taking them off and throwing them in a bag andthey would give me more when my feet got cold. They won't keep them, they just throw them away anyway, so...plus my BFF asked me to try and snag her a few pail, LMAO! Also, baby book has a page for foot prints usually, so this way you can have the nurses do it for you shortly after the birth, mine ended up on an old envelope and stuffed in the book, LOL! Also a list of people you want to be contacted after you have the baby so you don't have to worry about it, I am building a phone tree :) Madilyns♥Mommy -
Monday, 7 Sep no need to really pack anything cause us women never end up using it.. except the day we leave hospital.. and maybe two baby outfits and whatso.. ShireeT -

Also for your bags - some lipbalm, mouth wash (for your coach), a breastfeeding book, warm slippers and some aromatherapy oil - lavender and jasmine. =)Your list helped me with some things I forgot.I am glad I am not the only one packing many baby outfits and blankets! Oh don't forget your babys memory book and your pregnancy jourmal. littlemissfatty!! -

Monday, 7 Sep How about big fuck off sani pads hun...cos you'll bleed lots after. Can get them from boots or superdrug 99p for a pack of 10 maternity pads...oh and mothercare...soap, shampoo, conditioner, towel for a shower or bath, camilosan cream if u plan to breast feed..good for sore nips, Make sure you wear a bra under ur nightie once youve had bean as it helps support ur boobs when ur milk comes in and stops them going saggy...sorry hun.....slippers, dressing gown, comfy clothes for you to come home in, oh music cd if your going for a waterbirth xx saawmummy -
Monday, 7 Sep I am bringing the baby book so I can document the weight, time of birth that sort of thing as well as my feelings about the whole thing. Also camera and video camera. In hospitals in Australia they wouldn't let you take any pain killers that they didn't administer. I would check with them on that one. Also maternity pads littlemissfatty!! -
Monday, 7 Sep yep ta we have got one but my mum is picking us up so we have made that her responsibility lol its my sisters old one so she knows how to install it already :-D thanks x Mummy-Sammy -
