14-10-2009 - funny L&D trip :-D

My mood while writing this blog:
waiting on labour!!!!!!!!!

Last night about 8pm i went to L&D to try get some stronger pain relief for my SPD than paracetemol as that doesnt even touch the pain!! i had my crutches but was still a mission to get to the hospital, everything is so painful...ANYWAY so 1st off i need a urine sample so go to the loo and do my wee wiv the pot underneath, take the pot out and...its empty, but i did a proper long wee, i dont even know where the wee went!!! so that had me and mum laughing our heads off, then i needed to be examined as she wants to see if im dilated at all, i was happy cos we dont get this over here so i had no idea wot was goin on, anyway so she sticks her hand up and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH the pain!!!!! bloody hell im really small down there but how big is her arm??? so i started cryin lmao i felt a right idiot after, im waiting to give birth and the examination makes me cry??? lol anyway then she did a trace and mum asked if she wud do me a sweep, she was unsure cos im already in horrific pain from the SPD but then she agreed and sed i cud have gas an air while she does it...i've never had this stuff b4....3 breaths and i was LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY....not giggles but proper whole-body-shaking laughter like i'd just had laughing gas THEN suddenly my laughter turned to tears and i was half laughing my head off half crying my eyes out...wot must she have thought???? i musta looked a right loon but i felt proper drugged up lmao she did the sweep which was the strangest feeling and i took about 5 mins to get bk to normal between sobbing and laughing!! then a laughed at myself all the way home!! loonie bin!!!

well you know what to have when your in labour, works wonders for me. As for the SPD, paracetamol 4 times a day taken regularly in combination with another pain reliever that is safe to take in pregnancy is best. combinations of painkillers work better together to relieve pain. P.s i have SPD too nothing i take helps it although i've heard acupuncture is the only solution??? x

Ouch i agree, the sweep hurt me sooooo much! She offered to do me another one this Friday if still not started as i'm 6 days overdue but i'd rather wait for the induction than experience another one of those!!! I've paniced myself now as if that hurt me what am i going to be like in labor!!!
