19-7-2008 - I've never been so in love, I finally have my angel.

My mood while writing this blog: Blessed.

I gave birth to a precious 7 lbs 10 oz baby boy on monday. I posted my birth story if your interested! The past 5 days have been the best days of my life. The first day i had Dylan with me in the hospital it was weird. He felt like a stranger to me. But we have bonded so intensly, and I'm getting really good at diaper changes, and we have mastered breastfeeding. I know its only been 5 days, but engorgement has come and gone, and my nipples arnt sore or cracked or anything. All the studying and reading and help i got before i had him have really paid off in that department.

As im writing this, i have my little monkey on my chest. He is sound asleep. He doesnt cry very much and is very easily soothed. He got circumsised wednesday and is pretty much healed. He has a little bit of jaundice and had to get a heel prick today... i felt so bad for him.

My whole family is in love with him. My brother always wants to hold him, and my mom comes in for "a baby fix" all the time. Nights havnt been so bad. I prepare myself to be up all night, so when i am up for an hour , hour n and half at a time, its not so bad. I sleep when he sleeps during the day. He is the BEST cuddler EVER! I let him sleep with me in bed, i just like to have him close to me.

Im getting pretty good at this mom thing, and i finally understand other moms when they say that you'll never know a love like this.

For everyone who is still expecting, just wait it out! You are in for the most incredible change. And for those who are trying to conceive.. keep trying, dont give up! You'll get there.

And of coarse, my little Dylan is quite the camera whore....(thanks to mommy) so here are so pics! ENJOY!!
