HI LADIES
I AM SOO WORRIED RIGHT NOW AS MOST OF YOU KNOW MADDI HAS BEEN HAVING BLOOD TEST AND URINE DONE FOR THE LAST MONTH OR SO .FROM THE FIRST TIME THAT THEY TOLD ME ABOUT HER KIDNEYS I HAVE HAD A FEELING IN ME TELLING ME TO TAKE HER TO THE HOSPATIL AND BE SEEN BUT I KEPT PRAYING THAT THE DOCTOR WAS RIGHT AND THAT IT WASNT NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT BUT NOW ONCE AGAIN I FEEL THE SAME WAY . HE SAYS OH ITS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT . WELL I THINK IT IS AND IF SOMETHING IS WRONG I WANT TO KNOW A.S.A.P . AND I TOKE HER YESTERDAY TO THE DOCTOR AND HE SAID THAT HE WANTS HER TO SEE A KIDNEY SPECAILIST . AND THAT HE WANT TO MAKE SURE NOTHING IS WRONG WITH HER KIDNEYS HE SUSPECTS IT RENAL TUBULAR ACIDOSIS IF ANY ONE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT THIS PLEASE TELL ME . MY MOM DIED AT THE AGE OF 34 AND SUFFERED FROM KIDNEY FAILURE AND HAD KIDNEY PROBLEMS AS A CHILD . I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO SHOULD I JUST WAIT ON THE DOCTOR AND DO ALL THE TEST THEY ARE TELLING ME OR SHOULD I TAKE HER TO THE HOSPATIL IN THE E.R AND HAVE THEM LOOK AT HER ? I KNOW THAT YOUR KIDNEYS ARE NOTHING TO MESS WITH AND I DONT WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE WITH MY LITTLE GIRL . THEY DREW BLOOD FROM HER AND ALSO WANT SOME MORE URINE BUT I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO COLLECT IT CAUSE THE BAG KEEPS COMING OFF . I AM GOING TO TRY USING A CUP ITS GOING TO BE HARD CAUSE SHE ISNT POTTY TRAINED . WHAT MAKES ME SO UPSET IS THAT SHE WENT ABOUT A WEEK AGO FOR SOME BLOOD AND URINE TEST AND I CALLED ALL WEEK AND NO ONE CALLS ME BACK AND THEN TO FIND OUT THIS ITS HEART BRAKING AND THEY SAY OH IF SOMETHING COMES BACK WRONG THE DOCTOR WILL CALL YOU . I THOUGHT WELL MAYBE EVERYTHING IS OK AND LOOK I WAITED ON THEM AND TO FIND OUT SOMETHING MIGHT BE WRONG WITH MY LITTLE GIRL INSIDE I AM SOO SCARED . I HAVE 100% PERCENT FAITH IN THE LORD . I KNOW ME WORRING ISNT GOING TO DO HER NO GOOD .. I CANT SLEEP RIGHT NOW AS MUCH I WANT TO I CANT . PLEASE LADIES I NEED SOME ADVICE WHAT SHOULD I DO ?

You might want to consider finding a different dr and getting a second opinion. I would explain the problem and see if they can get her in a/s/a/p. If you feel she needs a trip to the ER then do it. I am so sorry this is happening to you 2. I do hope that she gets feeling better and everything starts getting better.

Do what your heart tells you. Your the mom you know better than anyone else if something is wrong with Maddi. Theres no harm in going to the ER if thats what you want to do but from what i just read i would take her ASAP too. Your the boss of your child dont worry about nothing else just take her. regardless of the dr's.if you take her and shes fine then shes fine thats excellent but if you take her and something is comming up on the results then you know but atleast you will have that piece of mind that you did take her and also you dont have to wait for more results after the kidney specialist. Im praying everything will be fine just remember God never gives you anything that you cant handle.

Just make her comfortable and hope for the best, I hate to say it but its really all you can do. I hope and pray shes okay please keep us updated.

omg im soo sorry i dont know wat that is but the doctor should have told u more i feel your pain cuz not knowing everything is already hard enough try hard to collect it so they can have a better idea and just know know tha god is looking over your baby im prayin that the outcome is good for you

Renal tubular acidosis is a disease when the kidneys fail to remove acids from the urine. A normal ph balance of a human is 7.4 so people with acidosis has a more acidic base. Acidosis is most common in diabetics and people with renal failure. Without treatment for renal tubular acidosis growth retardation or complete renal failure can occur. Madi is in my thoughts and prayers and I am hoping that this beautiful little girl does not have this terrible disease. Give her a hug for me.
