hi ladies i needed to ask has anyone ever had a 3/d -2/d ultrasound the one you pay for not at the doctors office and have it be incorrect about the sex of the baby . cause everyone keeps saying to me well maybe the test is wrong . i dont think they are wrong so its driving me nutts lol . i am going for my 20 week ultrasound from my doctor i am going to ask again about the gender but i am pretty sure the first one was right . so ladies i need your input . thank you for your help

I had a 3d u/s with both my girls at 15 weeks and they were right both times. The Dr's will say it is hard to tell that early and for them it is b/c they do not specialize in gender detemination until the fetus is well develped.... but the 3d studio places do specialize in gender determiation. So I trust them more than the Dr's. If the u/s tech of yor 3d u/s said girl... then that is probably what it is. Congrats hun!!!

I know one of the ladies on here was told Girl..and at her 20 week scan it was confirmed she was having a boy..☺..so you can't really tell until a little later..you never know..you still might get your little boy...take care..x

I spent the money and got a 3d scan when I was 31weeks... it turned out to only be a week before Trent was born - but he didn't show up on schedule (haha). It confirmed for me that I was having a boy AND it was super cool to see the baby in such detail.

nope they told me girl at 16 weeks and i double checked again at the 20 week scan and it was right she is now 16 months lol xx

mostly now they dont mistake it but sometimes it depends on the place,, ppl kept telling me u look like ur having a boy but no am not and the doctor keeps checking every ultrasound and i try to look in case he misses something but thank god its a girl coz i got girly stuff and her nursery is pink and i fell in love with her being a girl,, if ur in doubt dont buy anything now and check again on ur 20th scan

I know that my cousin had happened to her. She was told she was having a boy, and the excitement they had when they were blessed with a girl first and now a boy. They had everything done in blue! Well to there surprise, when the baby was born it was a GIRL. They were so disappointed but happy that she was healthy and had to scramble back home to get all of her daughters old clothes. Ahhhh, what a fiasco. Why don't you go to a 4D Ultrasound??? You can't really do the old wives tale and people guessing, hey everyone carries different. But if you are worried, try doing a 4D, you have to pay out of your pocket but you can go just to make sure of the gender.

I personally think it isn't worth the money. If you are getting another scan at 20 weeks then I would just hold off on buying gender specific items until the 20 week scan... that way you can be more "sure" about the gender. Good luck and take care!!

They could be wrong but these days they are 98% right. I never got a 3d or 4d scan because I felt it was a waist of money. I feel your going to find out in 9 months why does it matter? But thats my thought process when I was pregnant. You do as you see fit!

hey yeh it could be wrong as i was tld they cant really tell properly untill around the 25 weeks mark to be sure because if it was a boy and nothing is showing yet its because of the hormones and stuff u gotta wait for the growth spurt lol but more then likely they wouldnt be wrong in a 3d scan as u can see things pretty well why are u hoping for a certain sex or just worried they might be wrong ... ?

i never got a 3d scan but with my gender scan they were pretty sure it was correct sex and noah was breech and sitting funny
