Just wanted to give you all a quick update last night the brownish blood stopped spoke to the doctor and he said that to just watch it if it turns red or if anything else changes to call him so i went to sleep and woke up this morning to bright red blood like a period . so i called my doctor and went to the hospatil and i was hooked up for about 1 hour and a half i had a few contractions and she was moving very well they sent me home told me to call them if i keep bleeding or having any other concerns ... i am not bleeding much right now . so i spoke to my doctor the plan is to make it to 36 weeks and then have a amnio done if the lungs so that they are good then i will have her by c section ... i have a few questions for you ladies i wanted to know when you have a amnio done how long does it take to find out the results and also when given steroids shots what are the chances of the baby lungs being mature at 36 weeks ?? thanks for your help and your prayers and for being my friends during this hard time

Yall are in my prayers! I didn't have to have anything like that but I have always heard pretty much 100% of the time when you get the shot's the babies lung's are always mature enough when they are born.As for the amnio I was told certain things they can know almost immediately and other info may take a couple week's. In your case I am sure they will know what they need to know very quickly. Everything is going to be fine!

Oh sweetie I am so sorry to hear that. I will pray for you and the baby. An amnio usual takes 2-3 weeks to get the results when icomes to checking for deformities, ect... but if it checking for lung maturity they can have the results in an hour if it is an emergency situation.

oh hun i'm so sorry to hear and your baby girl are definitely in my prayers,the dr who ask me about the amnio he said it takes like 3 weeks before you get back the results but in your case it might be sooner,takr it easy love and i hope she stays in longer.

When Trent was in the hospital it seemed like the babies born 6-4 weeks early were ok and didn't really need oxygen (maybe for a day) and then ones who had had the steroids shots didn't need it at all. The steroids work best the longer baby stays in and if you have time to get both rounds of it... I'm not 100% sure on that though, because Trent came too fast and I only got the first round of the steroids. You and baby are in our thoughts. ((huggz))

the longer the baby is in you with the steriod shots the better the lungs get everyday on the baby and then for the amnio test thats very fast within that same day you will know

usually the results come back that day sometimes the next. by 36 weeks hopefully you will be good but my friend had her c-section scheduled at 37 weeks and they did the amnio and it wasnt developed enough so she had to wait...but it really all depends on the kid. if you had the steroid shot it should really help too good luck, hang in there

So sorry for all the worry.Well my brothers baby was born today,his wife was 36 weeks and they had to give her a c section too,very low amniotic fluid.Baby is 99% fine,breathed immediatly and cried a big cry when he was taken out,just some fluid on the lungs but thats coz of the amniotic problem.I think its 100 % fine to have baby at 36 weeks,its only one week away from term.I had my baby at 38 weeks and she was fine too.My honest opinion is that the amnio is not realy needed,ive heard its not safe all the time,i wouldt know ive never had one.36 weeks is just fine in my opinion,baby is safer outside than inside at this stage becoz of ur bleeding.If the lungs isnt 100% then the nicu stay will be a week maybe.One of my friends on here's baby was born at 34 weeks,breathed just fine and went home a day later,no nicu stay needed.It realy depends but i do think baby will be fine at 36 weeks.The steriod shot wont do harm though.

Both my kids had steroid shots about a week or two before they were born. And the chances are really great that the lungs are developed at 36 week. Mine were born at 32 and 34 weeks. Amnio results come back the same day. And with my 34 week old we didnt even have to have him in the NICU. I think thinks will be ok with you.

i had an aminocentesis n let me be the one to tell u IT IS NOT FUN. i dont want to worry u or stress you but its very fast over with but it they tell u it take a week to get results back but i got mine back within 2 days they might even do faster for u if its an emergency situation but i think your do just fine i mean i lived thru it lolz they tell u like it could cuz realy delivery in stuff but since u right around the corner it should be ok cuz i had mine done at lik 15 weeks but tell me how it goes bless u baby hun
