01-8-2008 - Keegan John Duffy!!!

My mood while writing this blog: Happy!!!

So...

On Thursday July 24th @ 9:20pm My baby was born!!! After 4 hours of labour i managed to get through it and had my son in my bath tub here at home. It was the most amazing experiance!! No hospital, no nurses, no cheerleaders, just my husband, midwife and nice calm relaxed environment.

I got to catch my baby, hold him in the nice warm water, cut his cord and put him right to the breast. How perfect is that! I know a lot of people enjoy having there drugs, but if you are looking for the most empowering moment, you have to try this!!!

Weighing in at 8p8o and 20.5 inches long wearing the face of perfection i just cant believe he is here! now all the fun begins!!

wow...that is AWESOME! i wish i had the guts to do that! kudos to you! :) i didn't have the choice though, c sections wouldn't do well without an epidural! haha. i am so happy for you and your family. congrats! xox

CONGRATULATIONS!! You are a strong woman! That labor and delivery sounds just wonderful! Too late for me, I had an epidural with Emma almost 6 months ago, maybe the next one. Enjoy your newborn!
