| 18-1-2009 - L&D Visit | My mood while writing this blog:All Right |
Yesterday morning I thought I felt a slight trickle. Never had the sensation before. I knew it wasn't pee but wasn't sure if it was fluid or discharge....so yucky! It was odorless and clear fluid. Mind you it happened twice and a very small amount. All day it was gnawing on the back of mind what it was. Finally at 5pm my DH said why don't you just call for peace of mind. If it had been during the week I know I would of called my OB office. I did and the really nice Dr said if your concerned enough to call then come in for a quick check. The circumstances were odd that my folks were stopping by (long story) so I could easily leave the kids.
We went and ended up getting a full check. Bub's heart beat was 127-130 (I thought a little low but they weren't concerned. I also had some contractions. Nothing out of the ordinary, I've been having that for weeks. The exam was VERY painful. When not in labor your cervix isn't exactly in place and is much further back. She said exams aren't nearly as bad when in labor.
The results were it wasn't fluid and I'm 3cm (I was 1cm on Thurs) so I've had progress. I still remain at 50% effaced. She was right, and I have been spotting a little brown since...it was an intense exam. They were SO kind and it did give me peace of mind so I could rest last night.
I really want this all to be over. I'm tired of feeling like a human time bomb. I just want my life back or a life for that matter. I know life will once again be different once Chloe arrives but a least I can participate in it. The kids are very excited to meet lil Chloe as we all are and in the morning the kids check to see if I'm still here.
That's all for now........................................................................
Quick question - How dilated does one need to be for the plug to fall out? I've never had that happen and also never dialted without being in realy labor.
