20-5-2009 - Jude is poorly

My mood while writing this blog: sad and worried

Sorry for not adding a birth story blog but i am only out of hospital for a couple of hours.

jude steadily lost weight from birth and it was discovered that Jude had a significant bacterial infection

of the urinary system.(UTI) He is responding well to IV antibiotics.

It seems likely that he has a problem with the tubes that go up to the kidneys and push urine back into the kidneys.

Children grow out of it or they have surgery if severe.

H e has lost over 10 % of his body weight. and at one point was thought to have sepsis but the lumbar puncture results are initially good. awaiting test results tomorrow.

praying for you and hope all goes well! Keep me posted! My baby, Zeke, had to stay in the NICU for 7 days with suspected sepsis but those antibiotics are wonderful and perked him right up! Hope it works the same for little Jude!
