03-9-2008 - Got the cerclage placed

My mood while writing this blog: ok

So as you ladys know when i went in for my doctors appointment last week thursdays the doctor told be that she think its best for me to get the cerclage. so i had set an appointment for teusday which was yesterday. I have read so many good storys about you all mine wasent so pretty the fact the the stitch is in is great but the process was painfull to say the least.

So my appointment was set for 7:00 am we got there at 7:05am i ahd a great nurse. my vains are really hard to find so they had like three people trying to find them the poking was terrible and they still could not find one finally they did find one and got some blood then the iv tube couldnt go in so that was more poking i wanted to cry so bad. so then they say there going to give me a spinal block and if that doesnt work then they will try for a epadorial which i was thinking was cool cause when i went into labor with my daughter they got it first try i was not so lucky this time around. they poked i felt pain and i swear the tryed both the spinal block and epadrial and niether worked they had me all snot running and crying for about 30 minutes then they decided to finally put me to sleep. so i woke up the surgery went well my throat was so sore i couldnt even talk and on top of all that my back was on fire from them poking me in my back so much im tellin you all it was babd i had to get wheeled out of the hospital. so today im doing better the pain is still in my back just not as much and i got pain in my sholder and neck i asked the anesthetics people was i supose to feel the pain in my back they said i probally have soft tissue injury from trying to find a spot. other than that i havent had any cramping i have had bleeding and a little pain i havent felt the baby yet since the surgey which im waiting to feel the baby oh also my hubbie went to go pick up my doppler so maybe tonight i am going to hear the heartbeat. they did check the heartbeat before the surgery and it was 140 and after they got a doen i cant remember what it was but they said it was ok they got it on file. i know they was ready for me to leave the hospital i had so many people up there my hubbie was there,my mom, 2 of my aunties,my sister-in-law and my cousin. But al in all i am happy i got the stitch and am just praying that everything goes well from now.
