16-2-2009 - 3 day stay in the hospital

My mood while writing this blog: sick

ok ladies so as you all know i am now officially 38 weeks and 2 days can you believe it and im getting bigger and bigger and its getting even more uncomfortable. so Thursday I had a doctors appointment and she checked me i was 2-3 centimeters still 50% effaced and everything was good his heart beat was 142 and I was on track so I have been having a taste for a chili dog with rally’s fries i was determined to have them probably should have but I had them later on that day so i go home and everything was good at like midnight I had a banana and some chips them all of a sudden I feel like I have the urge to vomit luckily I got out of bed just in the nick of time and grabbed a bucket it all came back up so hubbie gets off at 830 so I tell him to bring me some ginger ale thinking maybe I just got a upset stomach so I drink some of that and it came up and then he was like well nibble on this lunch meat sandwiched had and sip on the ginger ale did that and it came back up so I called the nurse and she said just keep fluids in and try to suck on a pop sickle and if I cant keep it down then call her she got off at 5 so I did that nothing stayed down then on top of that I was also having diarrhea so she told me to come in and right before i left what happened I threw up again so i went they asked questions and then they tried to give me an iv but I was so dehydrated they couldn’t find a vein by the third time they tried I was on the verge of falling out I was sweating and his heartbeat was dropping they rushed doctors in gave me oxygen i tell you I was an experience. so I started to feel better I was thinking old well they was going to let me go home well I was wrong they said well we are going to admit you cause of dehydration and to watch baby cause his heartbeat went down so the next day the doctor came in and was like well we see that you have a virus and there are two ways we can go by this first do a nst test the bbp profile and if everything is good you can go home or we can do an amino and if his lungs are developed we will induce you and you will have your baby by Monday so I was like well lets do the first one and we did everything was ok and I was happy about that i was feeling better and everything so they kept me again Saturday night and said they just want to monitor me for 24 hours and i could go home sunday which i was happy about cause that was my first baby shower. so al in all it was a scare but im ok know and am not sick but still have nausea and acid reflex but i can deal with that.
