So listen to this ladies. I had an appointment with my ob on thursday. I owe them $170 but I had to get a new part for my stupied car so I'm completly broke. Well I called them and told them I didn't have the money but could pay them next paycheck. They said I couldn't come in thursday and have to wait till I can pay them to be seen. WTF!!!!! I wish I wasn't at work.........I would CRY CRY CRY!!!!! I think I need to find a new doctor because that just isn't right if you ask me. It's not like I walked in and said O by the way I can't pay today. I guess I should mention that the money I owe is from when I had my son (who is 16 months). I owed them $300 for the birth but never had enough money to pay them. Well since I started going again (this would be my 2nd appointment) I brought my balance down to $170 from $300. I wish I was a millionare I would pay them in advance but I'm a single mom who busts her ass to take care of her kid and work 40 hours a week. What's with this world and the people in it. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

That is why its much better to live in Canada OHIP is a great thing i couldnt imagine having to go through all of that. I hope everything works out for you.

everyone of my doctors is the same exact way... you cant be seen unless you pay upfront... its rediculous! the only nice one i have is the dentist... if you have 5 bucks to put down you can get a root canal done LOL... wish there were more docs like that around

That really sux! I'm sorry you are going through that. I definitely would look into getting another doctor. Can you qualify for Medicaid since you are a single mom?

good luck!!! Doctors just want their money they don't get that we have to bust ass for it!!! They should let you make reasonable payments!! Thats crap!!!

i say try another doc a cheaper one. thats not fair my doc let me get on a payment plan, if you have insurance make sure there using it cause they also did that that to me and now owe me money, good luck
