29-7-2011 - a little update since it's been forever!

Well, it has been quite awhile since I have updated, my little Ry is 22 months old now. Where does the time go? He is the sweetest, happiest, smartest, funniest, and fun little man ever. Every day is something new and he is the light of our lives. It seems like he says something new every couple of days. He says "Thank You" and "Lubboo". He is extremely generous with kisses right now, which mommy is loving! His newest is saying "yeah" or "no" (nyeoo) to questions. He has a newfound love for Elmo and says "Emmo" and "Oscar". He also "Shh's" me when I sing along to the songs on the dvds, lol. He yells at the dogs, and tells them to "Git" or "Night Night!". He is an outdoorsman like his uncle. He loves going on walks in his wagon, even in the 100+ weather we have had. He's kind of a picky eater, but we are working on that! He laughs after he toots, every time. The boy is absolutely OBSESSED with cars. His daddy had a collection of matchbox cars from his childhood, and Ry pretty much has one glued to each hand at all times, including bedtime. We are still cosleeping with him, so that's always fun waking up with a metal car in the back! =) He loves to dance, especially to a truck he has that plays music. He points his fingers and shakes his butt, it is the cutest thing ever! He opens doors now and loves computers and other electronics. He just went camping for the first time and loved the bonfire. He liked pointing at it and telling everyone it's "HOT"! We still have more fun things to do this summer, but it's been so dang hot that it's hard to get out of the AC! Guess the next step for my little guy is potty training!

As for me and my fiance, we are doing wonderful. We bought a foreclosed fixer upper in Feb, and have been working on it since then. We are hoping to be in it by Ry's bday at the end of Sept. It has been hard work, but it is going to look amazing when we are finished, and we likely will make much more than double what we got it for whenever we resell it. We are so lucky we could live with my fiance's parents while we are renovating, I could not live in all that mess! We are going to start the wedding planning when we are all moved in and settled! Looking back at all my blogs from when I was pregnant, and thinking back to before I found out I was expecting, it is amazing how much my life has changed! Being a mom and having my little family is truly the most amazing blessing. I feel so fortunate to have my son and I could not ask for more right now!
