| 15-6-2009 - 15 weeks & 2 days | My mood while writing this blog:Excited |
We went to the doctor today and Aubrey is in the 98th percentile for both height and weight. She is 16 lbs 8.2 oz and is 25 inches long! I can't believe how fast she is growing. She is hitting so many milestones so fast....where did my baby go!?!
-Saturday she rolled over. She hasn't done it again but came close today.
-The doctor said that we can think about starting to introduce rice cereal so since we had some in the cabinet we decided to try it- she loved it! She ate off the spoon so well and was smiling her little butt off.
-She has been having signs of teething for a few weeks now and today her gum is puffed up like that tooth is ready to break on through. I hope she doesn't bite because that will be the end of breast feeding, lol!
-One of my emloyees gave me a jumperoo today and once I got it all wiped down and got the seat out of the dryer we put her in it and her little butt was bouncing all around. Once she figured out that she was controling her own movements- it was on! She was going crazy =)
Aubrey is so ticklish. The doctor was doing her exam and was rotating her thighs and she was cracking up and that ended up making me, my husband, and the doctor laugh. When I wash her feet in her bath or when my husband kisses her and his facial hair gets her she does this grunty smiley laugh, it's so cute. She's so happy and I'm apparently hilarious to her. Whenever I sing or dance she cracks up. Isn't it funny how everything is a song now? Is it me or do you guys do it too? It can be about burping, or bath time, or even getting dressed and I can make it a song- I have tons of them and what's even funnier is they all have the same beat and sound the same but have different words!
Please share what your little ones are doing lately; I love hearing the updates.
It's still surreal to me that I am a mom and how amazing she is. I can't wait to teach her things and to continue to watch her learn. I look at her little nose and tiny ears and it seems like just yesterday I was feeling her movements in my belly. I can't believe I made her. She is truly a miracle that has changed me forever and I feel like the luckiest woman alive each and every time I see her.
stay at home or career mom? ...
