My mood while writing this blog: concerned |
I am sooo swollen! My rings are so tight I am scared to wear them because I have heard of people that have had to have their rings cut off. If mine had to be cut I would be devestated. I told DH that I would be buying a fake set to wear until after the baby. My right hand has been numb for about 3 weeks now. We went out to dinner at Olive Garden & their forks are a little heavier than ours- well I kept dropping it! My Grandma asked me if I needed some tape :o) Is anyone else getting the carpel tunnel symptoms this bad? My right hand is WAY worse than my left and it gets painful sometimes. I read it's normal & that it will go away after the baby is born. My feet are falling asleep more easily now too. I pray this doesn't mean preeclampsia!!! I feel like I have to keep going to the pharmacy to check my blood pressure. I've had mulitple dreams that I'm going to have this baby early & I really hope these dreams don't come true. I want a healthy little nugget.

Tuesday, 16 Dec Hi hon...I had carpal tunnel even before being pregnant because I have very narrow canals in my wrists and do a lot of repetitive computer work. Definately pick up a wrist splint right away and strap it on. It's not a big deal. you don't need a prescription. Just look up a medical supply store in the yellow pages. Make sure you buy one for the right hand. Just trim the velcro straps to the right length once you have it on. I wear my wrist splint 24 hrs a day when the ct kicks in. I even had to wear it for 6 weeks once! You get used to it. It just immobilizes your wrist. I even do computer work with it...slower....but can work. Good luck, let me know how it goes :-) DulcianasMom -
Sunday, 14 Dec my hands swell from time to time. But with my first i was swollen all over:) I have been thinking about the ring thing too and i told my husband i would like a nice silver chain so i could wear my wedding band around my neck for the remainder of this pregnancy. I will still "look married" cause i have his nake tatoo'ed on my ring finger. But i can understand you wanting to get a "fake" set. I would probably do the same if i didnt have "John" on my finger:) JanetN -
Sunday, 14 Dec my hands swell a little, but it just comes and goes. You definitly need to discuss with your doctor...God bless TinyBabySteps -
Sunday, 14 Dec Hi! Carpel Tunnel is normal for pregnant women but if yours is all day long for 3 weeks now, you need to talk to your doctor to get a splint. It will help. Mine only goes numb when I'm trying to go to sleep or after I just wake up. My feet swell terrible if I sit too long but other than that everything is good. Wishing you well!!
