15-12-2008 - 15.12.08 afternoon nap

My mood while writing this blog: blissful

he can sleep but i can only rest

my mind is buzzing with what i have still to do

for a change the room is warm and comforting , he lies next to me breathing warmly on my hair

my head is nestled on his arm and into his chest.

i take in everything about that moment, the smell of his breath on me, the warmth of his body

he stirs a little and draws his free arm over my body and draws me even closer

i cant help but run my hand up his arm and over the curve of his bicep then shoulder down his chest and comb my fingers through his chest hair.

i must have disturbed him a little in his exhale he whispers 'i love you' and kisses my forehead

he naturally and innocently lifts my t shirt at the bottom to uncover my tummy and rests his warm hand on our baby, who invites his touch with a little kick of recognition

i listen to his heart, my face being tickled by his chest hair

he falls back into his deep sleep and i start crying

i know in that instant i am loved, and things are perfect

and ive never been so happy.
