08-3-2010 - 9 Month Update :) pics included

Hey all :) Hope everyone is going well..

So much has happened since my last blog..but first i will start with my little girls updates.. a few weeks ago she was put in hospital, she stopped breathing due to being real sick with the flu that her grandmother gave her by keeping a window open at night and dressing her in nothing but a t shirt and a nappy... it was a 16 degree night here so pretty cold.

Since then she has been better and breathing the cold has finally gone away.. the docs complained about her weight to me (she is 11.3kgs and no im not overfeeding her) and wasnt happy that she wasnt crawling or pulling herself up much...
2 days later my chubby little girl was waiting for me in her cot standing up :D And to top it off last week we started crawling and standing up with the help of the couch and walking around :) im so proud of her, she might be doing things slowly but she is still doing them.

Other than that she is running the house down in her walker and slowly loosing the weight, we have gone down a size in nappies now so thats a good thing we were in walker nappies but we are in toddler nappies now. She is on solids as well for all 3 main meals, and im changing her over to cows milk now she doesnt seem to have a problem with it so its fine , it saves me $$$ on formula and it will stop her from gaining extra weight... and its so much cheaper lol i already mentioned that but still...

For the teeth.. well we still dont have any so she is on mushed foods with little chunks that she wont be able to choke on, we are teething but we have been for a good solid month, then a tooth broke through and i could feel the sharpness of it and well...as u can tell my the pics its no longer there.. anyone else had that?? The good thing about her teething is she will sleep right through it all, if she is in pain she sleeps so we have a good 17-18 hours sleep (12 at night the rest during the day).

Now updates with me.. im still working here and there i do about 2-3 nights a week and its tiring , but i might be going back to full time work next month so my partner can have his parental leave but i dont know how well he will be able to cope with her cos he tunes out alot so she could be crying and he would be on the phone and wont hear her, or be holding her watching tv and still wont hear her so its a bit of a worry and i dont want her to be upset, i dont think it will be good for either of them but what can u do at the end of the day? i can let it go and see what happens i mean i can always quit, but i will miss out on her first steps but i think that will be ok since i have seen everything else first..

We have also just bought a block of land in the country ( well its 40min from melbourne so its country to them lol) and we are looking to put a double story 5brdm place on there as well so pretty big but pretty good :) Im doing fine and other than that there isnt much to update... The pics are adorable and I love her new little smile. Too cute! She doesn't look overweight at all. My little girl is a chubby little thang too LOL Congrats on the land, that is very exciting to look forward to.

aw your pics havent showed up properly!? Congrats on buying the land... haha i know what you mean about it being considered "bush" though... we live 25 out from brisbane and are definitley considered bush. haha I wouldnt worry too much about the developemnt.. to me it sounds normal, they all learn eventually, some dont until they are well over a year old..! Im with you on the not wanting to miss out on babys first steps/develpment... its a been a hard one for me, deciding when to go back to work.. i will be doing the same within the next few months. with the feeding side of things, i was told very strickly by my health nurse that you need to keep up with the formula. you can give cows milk but still being younger than 12 months babys wont get the nutrients that they need. I give kyelah cows milk with her breakfast but she still has her bottles of formula through the day. x
