I just wanted to know when do you start producing breast milk. I am 30 weeks and nothing yet.

hmm.. sounds like a little misinformation coming from the other ladies here.. you won't be producing breastmilk until your baby is born!! You can have colostrum leakage, or you may be able to express a few drops of colostrum at some point in mid pregnancy to prior to your delivery.. but the hormone prolactin are what is needed to initiate the milk production.. approximately 30-40 hours after delivery. Check out this excellent link for more info. http://www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/milkproduction.html So dont fret that you are not gushing at this point.. ;) Your milk will come.. its actually a demand supply process (as opposed to supply and demand) and the more demand there is on your breasts in the early days after delivery, the more milk you will produce for your baby! lol trust me you have it, I thought the same thing until ( sorry if it's too much information) my hubby squeezed my breast, and there it was, I thought i didn't have any either, but you have to like squeeze slowly down your breast it's there lol, I'm not leaking which is good, but i know it's there now. my hubby and i laughed quite a lot. my reaction was so funny, ...

Not true she should have breast milk now. Every body is different and they say sometimes it doesn't even come in until days after labor. There is no specific time when it should come in, it's when your body decides its ready.

You should have breast milk by now, i started getting mine about 22 weeks. But dont forget everyone is different :) . Give your midwife a ring and see what she thinks :) x
