My mood while writing this blog: ok |
I just wanted to know how soon can you start using birth control after having a baby? I have been told you are very fertile after having a baby. Would love some advice and information.

Thursday, 28 Jan You can take the pill while BFing, I was on it as were many of my friends :) And I did alot of research as many say it isn't safe, but first I talked to my OB and my DD's pediatrician and they both ok'd it. Just keep an eye on your milk production. If it goes down, go off the pill. Regardless, until your first post-partum exam by your OB I'd just use condoms :) Heather12 -
Monday, 25 Jan You should talk to your dr at your 6 week appointment. I got the copper IUD because I was breastfeeding and I can't remember to take a pill. For me it is wonderful. Ive had it now for 1 1/2 years. nays mammy -

Monday, 25 Jan Do not start taking the pill if you are breast feeding.. if your not BF then after your 6 week appt with your doctor you can discuss options... then of course you have to wait a month before having unprotected sex so the pill can start working..
