04-2-2010 - Midwife update

My mood while writing this blog:
ok

Saw my midwife this morning, and babys head is still not engaged. She said im no where near labour yet. Im 39 weeks tomorrow, and she thinks i might be over due. If i havent gone into labour in the next 2 weeks, she will book me in to be induced. Well, the babys not due to another week so theres still time. At the moment im so uncomfortable and fed up with myself. Its horrible to think i might have another 2 weeks. Im just trying to stay positive.

usually the first child is over due. mine was by two days. dont fret though. alot can happen in two weeks..even one day. things might change. im crossing my fingers for you :):)

Oh dont worry, my babys head was engaged from about week 36 or 37 and shes late now! not even booked in for a sweep until im 5 days over let alone induction so dont fret hun, that baby will be here when its ready and it could all progress really quick. Ive found once i got to my due date that im not actually that bothered about waiting. i think its a state of mind thing you just kind of think ok whenever now then because your not waiting for a certain date. hope that makes sense. x x

start walking, bowling, swimming whatever get active... and yes sex really does work if your in the mood and can have the big O even better.. plus I'm sure hubby would appreciate it since it will be a while after the baby is born lol
