08-6-2008 - Names

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

I've been thinking about names since i found out that i was pregnant!! Growing up i always wanted to call my first girl Laoise (lee-sha) but my ex (the baby's dad) hates it. I'd like Laoise Susan, Laoise is irish for louise (my name) and susan is my mum. John hates Laoise, but he has told he wants nothing to with the baby or me... so part of me thinks why should he get a say... then another part thinks "John hates it!" i like Slaone for a girl too but Sloane Susan doesn't go so i'd need to think of a another middle name but that's ok... John liked Sloane because the girls name in the movie Ferris Bular's big day off. One of John's irrtating habits was randomly spouting off ireleavent movie quote's in the middle of a normal conversation!!!

We didn't really differ on boys names!! I like Connor Liam, but John doesn't like Liam because its his bothers name, he didn't mind Connor. I also liked Ruarì Michael, i picked michael because John had a brother calle Michael who died as a baby, thinking he'd be honoured, but also after my Grandad John shot down the idea!

I feel very conflicted i've made peace with the fact he won't be in the babies life (his choice) but i still feel like i should take his thoughts into consideration!! He's been nasty to me and said horrible things about me and the baby... so part of me thinks screw it why should let him dictate what i can or cannot call my child!! but i can't help but think "John doesn't like it"
