17-1-2009 - mucus plug/blood

My mood while writing this blog:
gettin better!!

ok so as i posted last night, i had my membranes stripped, which thanks so much to everyone who commented on it, it just helps so much knowing other people are going through or have gone through the same thing :)

well this morning i woke up and went to the bathroom and i suppose i lost the rest of my mucus plug...there was also some blood as well as a little brown along with it...i hope this is all normal....do you think its because of her stripping the membranes yesterday? anyone else experience the same thing?

hopefully things are moving along! im getting so anxious to meet Brayden!!!!

Nope, I haven't lost mines as of yet, and have nor eal advice as this is my first pregnancy, I am carryingt o full term. However you don't have long to go before you're holding your lil prince, I am excited for yoU!! Good Luck girl!!

Could be from the stripping..could be that you lost your plug! Either way.......................YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED WOMAN!! LOL, in the next couple of weeks your going to have your L'il man regardless!!! I can't wait to see his pic..he's gonna be a looker:-)

Hey doll long time! Was really interested to read your blogs on having a sweep done. I'm having one done this Thursday. Spent the day in hospital on Friday as was having frequent contractions which were conmfirmed on the monitor however, after the most horrific internal (I'm sure she was trying to punch a hole right through me!) she said my cervix is still closed so not in labour. They've out the contractions down to a UTI causing my uterus to contract. It hursts like hell and my abdomen is as tight as a drum.

SO I'm at home waiting for something to happen and from everyone's comments sounds like the sweep might just be what's needed!

Not be long now till Brayden shows up from what you've said - good luck!!! xxx

Yes, I bet the brown blood is from your exam and sweeping. I started losing my plug the other day, it was clear. Then I had my exam yesterday, extra painful...not sure if she swept my membrane? Didn't say. But I've been having pain and cramps and brown blood since then, so I can only guess she did since it sounds like what your describing. It's been brown blood with the rest of the mucus mixed in. Can't wait for our babies to come!!
