17-3-2009 - JUST A COUPLE THINGS I NEED ADVICE ON

My mood while writing this blog: HAPPY :)

ok so there are a couple things i wanted to ask you guys.

FIRST- how much should Brayden be awake now days. he will be 7 weeks tomorrow and it still seems like he sleep SO much...hes awake from like 11 in the morning til about 4 or 5 and then goes back to sleep and then wake back up most of the time at around 9 or 10 until like 11 or 12....and then maybe he will be awake for an hour or so during the night like 2 or 3....does that sound normal?? just wanna make sure.

SECOND- how much does or did your baby eat at this age?? Brayden eats about 4 ounces every 3 to 4 hours...does this sound normal??

THIRD- hes so hot natured! he sweats when he sleeps, which im sure is normal. but he tends to run a temp ranging from 98.6 to like 99.4....is this common?

i guess im a little worried because when he was born, steven was really sick and got me sick and in turn got the baby sick so he had a bad cold at just a couple days old and we took him to the doctor and everything and they pretty much told us not to come back unless his temp hit 100 or higher and to just keep him sucked out as far as boogers and all, so ive been doing that but he STILL seems to be congested....we go back to the doctor on the 30th though....but until then i need some reassurance lol

and finally- he just seems so calm...i guess i expect more movement or him to coo and ca more but maybe everything is perfectly normal and im just new at all this....which i KNOW im new but i just want to make sure hes on track...ive looked around but havnt really found the answers im looking for...
