23-4-2008 - Out of the loop

My mood while writing this blog: OK

So DH & I went to some friends house for dinner and all the guys were watching some game in the living room, and the girls are all at the kitchen table. 12 kids are running around screaming. and I sat there listening to all of these women talk about there kids, motherhood, fatherhood, School, teenagers, etc... & I sat there thinking to myself, that I had absolutely nothing in common with these women anymore. I sat there in silence almost the entire time with nothing to really contribute to the converstation. I felt like an outsider. I guess thats been one of the hardest part of all of this, is most of my friends have either had there last child, or some are watching there kids start high school. I still haven't had my first. I keep telling myself that it will happen when God thinks we're ready, But, then there are times when I think maybe God forgot about us. I kow that is stupid.Then I have days when I think, hey, life isn't so bad . Great husband, good job, you can come and go as you please, maybe this is it. Don't get me wrong, I know I have been truly blessed with so many wonderful poeple, things in my life. I guess I'm just trying to figure out what my purpose is right now!!! (just one of those days)

Oh hun, we have all been there - especially those of us on the other side of 30. One of my friends sho just turned 33 is about to be a grandmother! Yep she is not too happy about that. Everyones path through life is different and it sounds like yours has been a great one so far, I am sure that a Baby is on its way for you to be your cherry on top as it were. Chat with us on line - we all have a lot in common!
