14-9-2009 - It's a .........

My mood while writing this blog: In shock still!

Well....... we went for our 19 wek scan last Wed and told the sonographer we did NOT want to know the sex of our bubba, all was fine having the scan, the baby looked good and we were just relaxed looking and checking out the insides of our child! Next thing she moves to look under the baby, looking straight up at it's bottom and what do we see............ I could not believe it!!! I tried to ignore it thinking and wondering, was it, is it??? my husband said " well I'm pretty sure I know what it is but I'm not 100% sure...now we have to know'!! I was so annoyed, shocked and not sure what to do but we asked my Dad to leave the room and briefly discussed it and told the lady we wanted it to be confirmed. She said I am 99% sure it's a beautiful little girl.....We were so shocked, we were really expecting a boy and we really wanted a little boy first, I know you cant choose but for various reasons both of us had really wanted a boy.

So now comes the hard part, getting our heads around it all! I'm spinning out big time! It makes it feel too real and I'm so nervous all of a sudden.... I am so pissed with the sonographer for spoiling one of life's last special surprises, I know most people find out these days but we really wanted the surprise. I guess now I need to make the most of the situation and work it to my best advantage! I'll do the most beauiful nursery and I can just focus on one name.

What worry's me is how sure were they??? There was another guy who gave us a second opinion so I'm sure it is a girl but I am being told about ladies who have been through this and it comes out the opposite sex!! Ahhh what to do.....
