22-2-2009 - Ultrasound Scan

We had an interesting 12 week appointment Friday. My doctor couldn't find the baby's heartbeat, so she did an ultrasound. The baby was jumping around. At first, we thought we were going to see the sex of the baby. It spread wide open, but then would close up real quick. It kept making this move and looked like a little cricket moving around. My doctor said until further notice the baby should be called cricket. I thought it was really funny. My husband thinks my doctor is a bit odd, but I keep reminding him she's the best in our area and really cares about the person she's taking care of. All is good. We were able to see the heartbeat. I will be sent either to Kansas City or Amarillo in about 6-10 weeks for a special level 3 ultrasound due to my high risk pregnancy. They check all the organs to make sure things are progressing as they should. We will definitely know the sex of the baby then. So relieved that the baby is doing good.
