17-3-2009 - What do I try next? worriedMy mood while writing this blog:
worried

Ok. This is not exactly related to babies or pregnancy, but it is kid related. TOILET TRAINING! I have a 3 year old daughter. She's been trained not to go in her pants for sometime and in panties, however, she's never learned to go on the potty. She seriously holds it until nap time or night time when she still wears a pull up. I put her on the potty often and if she accidently goes on the potty, she cries and cries. There's no consoling her. I praise, her daddy praises, give her a treat. All she does is cry until one of us picks her up and comforts her. We've changed pottys, tried on the big potty with a seat and without seat. Any suggestions?

I have a 3 year old and guess i got lucky she was very easy was in underwear at 2 and trained all but night time not she is 3 and night trained.when she went through a spell with wetting a lot we just left her in them for a little wheil ntoto long like 15 mins and she learned not to like the wet clothes and at night we just did it put her in the underwear and if she wet we left her in it a little while again and she eventually hated the feeling of wet clothes. Girls always have a fear of something "falling out of them" when the go potty we took her in with me for a while showing her it was okay and it just took her getting over it really..good luck
