| 08-6-2009 - I'M OFF BEDREST! | My mood while writing this blog:Happy |
Hi everyone! I'm thrilled to be off of bedrest. I have quit spotting and my blood pressure was down a bit. I'm still restricted from lifting anything and am now told no exercising (oh darn). My doctor hinted at reducing my hours at work, but didn't out right order it for now. I hinted to my mother in law (also my boss) that I wanted to take Friday's off to relax. She was less than thrilled, so we will see what happens. My doctor also had a good time chewing me out for gaining 3 lbs in a week. I've done good with weight gain until now, but I guess on bedrest I ate too much out of boredom and then didn't exercise it off. I'm going to have to be alot more careful with what I eat as I can't just exercise it off right now (the one thing i like more than i dislike exercising is food lol).
We have the twice weekly ultrasounds all set. They will be every Tuesday and Friday afternoon. We still don't have the exact times yet, but I hope they will be the same time each week to make scheduling easier for me.
We also have our c-section date all set and all the policies (in writing) with my doctor, the specialist in Amarillo, TX, and the local peditrician. The date is August 26, 2009, with the knowledge that they will pull Mark earlier if anything shows up on the twice weekly ultrasounds or non-stress tests.
So all in all things are looking good for us. I'm past that scary stage of 50/50 shot at stillbirth without being able to pull Mark early. Things are working out smoothly for scheduling all the appointments. Now if I could get my hubby's family to help out....yeah, I know, when pigs fly. Oh well, I can dream. Lol. I'm just thrilled I made it this far and that Mark now has an 85% according to my doctor of surviving if he were born now.
Thank you all to have listened and commented about my fears and trials. You are all truly wonderful. Thank you and I really appreciate it. Message me anytime you need a ear to listen. God Bless.
