17-7-2009 - Thinking Ahead

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

I have had a lot of little things on my mind lately, mainly things about my child hood. Memories that stick out both big and small that contributed to my child hood. I hope to create some sort traditions and or memories for my son as my parents did for me. One thing that we didn’t do when I was young was eat the table for dinner. I wan to do this to with my children. I want to plan, cook and really enjoy dinner and or breakfast with the ones I love. I want it to be our place to be comfortable, laugh and talk about our day.

I found a blog recently (which of course I can not locate now) but the mom planned a movie night on a regular basis with her children. She would plan a small treat to enjoy during the movie that also fit the theme of the movie. It was a wonderful blog and full of fun easy ideas that her children loved. It had me remembering going to my dads on the weekend we would have one night where we would just eat munchie type foods and watch a movie. Just little things like meat and cheeses and appetizers. Looking back it was such a small thing but something I really enjoyed.

I also hope to end the night relaxing with my son and reading a great book to him. I hope he will enjoy reading as much as I do.
