22-7-2011 - WOW!!!!!

My mood while writing this blog: super psyched

Well, since my last blog I figured I missed my first month back being home since I got some weird spotting the 25th through the 30th of June and I had just had my period the 4th through the 8th of June. Now the 4th through the 8th of June was a full blown AF. The 25th of june, after i thought was an early positive on some cheap-o online pregnancy test strips (but i still didnt have a bfp so i decided to wait and see) i got some brown spotting. It lasted for 5 days and it was nothing more than dark brown spotting and basically only when i wiped. I figured that had to be a weird early period since I had just come off the pill in April and just got back from a deployment the 5th of June. Well a "real" period never came on the 4th of July and i bought some ovulation test sticks and tried to figure them out while BD'ing on what i thought to be the "best chance" days. Well i had also been taking my temp every morning and thought it to be weird that my temp had risen from a usual 97ish degrees to a high 98 or 99+. I had a couple of clearblue digital tests and one last cheap-o preggo test strip. Well I reallllllly had to pee so instead of being smart and dipping it into a cup i decided to pee directly on it and accidentally peed all the way onto the results area. I thought oh great this isnt going to show anything at all and i just wasted a test strip. Well about a min later i got my test control line AND a faint but definitely very noticeable second line. I thought OMG OMG OMG but kept it quiet from my husband as i didnt want it to be like around the 25th and get all these faint positives but not really be pregnant. So i took the digi test and it came back not pregnant, but i thought well if its too early it wont read on the digi so i saved my last digi for the morning. Morning came and i tested with my last digi and it STILL came up not pregnant. I thought well shoot then maybe it was my over eager peeing that did me in. I still had high temps however and was starting to feel kinda queasy throughout the day. I decided to break apart my digi tests and both of them seemed to show two lines, one test result line was darker than the other digi test result line. And i thought well if its early maybe its still not registering but maybe i am. So i figured let me buy some FRER tests and see. My daycare lady said to wait and hold off because with everything i showed her it could be 50/50 but i couldnt wait and i decided to test and wouldnt you know it a faint but definitely could see the PINK 2nd line started to appear almost right away. I FREAKED OUT...my hands were shaking and i called up my daycare lady (also a friend) and said GUESS WHOS HAVIN A BABY!!! She was like im on my way over!! I was going to think of something creative to do for my husband when i decided to tell him but he decided right at that moment to show up in the bathroom and saw me shoot my hand behind my back with me still holding the test. He was like ummmm whats going on...i just grinned and held up the test and said we're gonna have a baby!!! He was shocked and like NO! Are you serious!?!? He was sooo excited! he looked at the test and was like i dont see a second line, and i had to show him (no it wasnt that faint hes just blind lol) my friend came over and looked at the test and said its really faint but its there..she was thrilled! I took like 2 more FRER tests both with 2 lines showing up immediately and one last digi that i saved for the following morning (just so i could see the PREGNANT) and sure enough :) i got a BFP **PREGNANT**!!! since im POAS crazy i had a couple left over ovulation test sticks that i know will show up bright and positive when your knocked up so i decided to test that theory and sure enough, i got the brightests positives ever with them.

I am just soooooo thrilled!!!!

So my friend and i have this theory, that i had a real period the 4th of june through the 8th and that i must have ovulated wayyyy late and the 25th through the 30th was implantation bleeding or spotting... never had a period the 4th of july and showed up faint positve the 15th of july and BFP the 16th of July. Also had to go to the base and get bloodwork done (to confirm for work since im active duty af) and sure enough im positive! :)

I go august 3rd for my first official baby appointment and when i get my ultrasound i will officially be able to figure out when im due! SO EXCITEDDD
