28-3-2009 - HSG test

My mood while writing this blog: ehh

Hello ladies..Lots of stuff going on here on the sight I have noticed over the last few days. Wish I had more time to comment-life is just crazy right now but I thought I would give an update on our fertility adventure.

Yesterday I had my HSG test done and it was the most interesting thing I have ever had done I think. It was really crazy to see how small my fallopian tubes really are... They are like the size of a piece of thread and my uterus was smaller than I thought too-I guess that I was miss lead from all the blown up images in the text books that I have studied over the years. Anyway, tubes are clear from what we could see and right off the doctor said he didn't see anthing that looked to be troubling so that was comforting but he did still have to review the pictures and get the results to my doctor. I do however have a very off centered uterus, it was so far on the left side it was crazy...infact i don't think it was centered at all. I dont know if that has anything to do with our problem. DH turned in his sample on Wednesday afternoon--that was interesting. We received the results in the mail today and I am no expert but from what I can tell it looks like that may be where our problem lies-maybe not entirely because of the tilt of my uterus but if i am reading it right he has low count and low motility...That is disappointing but I guess that we will soon have all the answers that we wanted and then we can make an informed decision as to what step to take next. It happened once right?? It should be able to happen again. IDK..I will just wait for the doc to call with all the results and go from there.
