10-7-2009 - Sad for these girls

My mood while writing this blog: worried

First off before anyone Attacks me this is just my opinion.........i was just surfing the website being bored, and cant help but notice how YOUNG some of these pregnant CHILDREN are on this site, it seems like there is a TON of 14-16 year olds expecting..........It makes me very sad, i understand that things happen, and kudos to those girls that are stepping up and taking responsibility. it just makes me very sad how difficult these girls lives will be now and the stuff they will most likley miss out on( now im aware thatm its not the case for everyone) it also concerns me that SOME of these young children based on there blogs give the impression that they think having a baby is like playing house........which some of them should be doing instead of preparing for a REAL life human. They seem very immature(which they should be) and out of touch with reality as far as the emotional, finacial, and physical strain it is going to be on both them, there family(if they are lucky enough to have the support of theirs) and their babies.........these girls should be spending their summer riding thier bikes, and buying high school musical backpacks, getting ready for highschool.........makes me wander what is happening today to our youth? it makes me concerned for my own children who wish to grow up TOO soon, or feel that they will only be accepted if they " follow the crowd" into doing the "in" thing which apparenly is turing out to be having sex at a very young age and obviously with no education behind their choice, i dont even think i took sex ed till i was a sophmore in highschool and these girls are pregnant WAY before they reach that.

Also concerns me how many older men are paying attention to these young girls........im all for age diffrence as my husband is 10 years older than me, but when they are that young it is so inappropriate. Good luck to all those young VERY young mommies out there. i worry about you daily. and for those young children on here TRYING to concieve, you should be ashamed of yourself and i hope you speak to a professional councelor before you get pregnant becasue it is not normal for a child to want a child.
